Karol Prażmo

Managing Director – Treasury & Investor Relations, mBank

Karol Prażmo is a Managing Director & Group Treasurer at mBank. In this capacity he oversees a diverse array of teams in the Finance Division responsible for: liquidity management & funding, interest rate risk in banking book / ALM, balance sheet management, recovery & resolution planning, investor relations, and macro-economic research. He joined mBank in 2012 and before the current position held numerous director level roles in finance, financial markets and mBank Hipoteczny. Between 2002-2012 he worked in investment banking in London. He spent the first seven years of his professional career at JPMorgan and Barclays Capital, where he developed structured credit products for European banks, asset managers and hedge funds. In these roles he successively progressed from analyst to director. Between 2009-2011 he was a director at Christopher Street Capital. He then worked at Hayfin Capital Management, where he invested the fund’s capital in structured credit products. Karol Prażmo is a graduate of the MSc Finance program at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Bachelor of Commerce program at the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University in Canada. He also studied at WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter holder. He is currently on the Supervisory Board of mLeasing. Previously he was a Supervisory Board Chairman at mFinanceFrance. In 2015, he was recognized as a Future Leader in Global Finance by the Institute of International Finance. He spends his free time on the tennis court, road bike and with his family.
